HBO SUNDAY REVIEW August 16, 2009

TRUE BLOOD - I Will Rise Up: Last night's episode started out so intense I almost started convulsing on the floor. Right before the opening credits started, holy shit I was freaking out at HOW AWESOME THE EPISODE WAS GOING. After the first view, I was a little letdown by the end of the episode as the end (I will not give what happened away) kind of trailed off. Though, I keep thinking about the episode over and over and maybe a little bit of the combination of next week, I'm liking it more and more. ONLY 3 EPISODES LEFT, very depressing. This episode has left a great deal of buildup for these final three episodes. If you have missed anything, CATCH UP NOW. Next week, shit hits the fan.

Lastly, Lafayette finally came back to form as from season 1 as his character this season has been on the DL.

Should I watch the episode for a 2nd time on demand or Tivo?: YES, I'll probably do it tomorrow at the rate I'm going though...

Hung - Doris is Dead or Are We Rich or Are We Poor?: I know a lot of people have not been a huge fan of this show since everyone is fascinated by Entourage and addicted to True Blood. Last night's episode I think was one of the better ones of the season. Thomas Jane tries to work his game and pretty much fails miserably. I think it's hilarious, but that's me. I like how he is trying to start real relationships at the same time he tries to be a male prostitute and have "relationships".

Best part, he bangs his neighbor and expects to get paid...and he doesn't...I just love that.

Next week looks pretty good. Hope they keep it up!

Should I watch it for a 2nd time on demand or Tivo: Already did before I wrote it.

Entourage - Murphy's Lie: This is a ballsy statement, but I think this is the best episode of the season. It's not the funniest, but it's a pretty serious episode with a bit of humor which is GREAT. Humor = (Johnny) Drama. Drama = well...(Johnny) Drama. Ari this season being a mentor to almost EVERYONE in the show I think is a great thing for his character this season. His freakouts are classic and lines like, "Did you sign that client with his pen or his cock?" Great comic timing.

This episode has led to pretty much shit hitting the fan for many of the characters on the show. Drama was amazing this episode. His confrontation with his boss is the reason I'm watching the episode again right now. So, I'll save you the should I watch this again. It's an amazing episode, definitely watch it.

I was reading a review of Entourage on CNN and they mentioned someone felt this season was going stale...as if the other past few seasons weren't...this season is the best season of Entourage behind season 2. So the blogger on CNN needs to get their head out their ass.

Until next HBO Sunday...come on by all are welcome. Bring snacks though...
